The Famous Pecan Pie Recipe You Need Right Now

Let’s talk about Erica’s Pecan Pie! This succulent treat is a staple in our home and maybe you to can bring this delicious treat to your dinner table.

This Jaw locking sweet treat will make your bake off’s or friendly holiday competitions a huge success. So let’s get started.

Crust:

2.5 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsps cold butter cut into pieces
1/2 cup cold water

Directions: combine all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl then add pieces of butter and mix using a pastry cutter, butter will look crumbled when done cutting with pastry cutter. Add water into mix little at a time and mix in between each pour, your mixture will become doughy and will be sticky when enough water has been added. Time to knead the dough! Once soft and formed into a ball it’s time to roll it out for your pie! Be sure to add butter or a non stick spray to pan before placing rolled out dough into pan. Cut off excess dough around edges of your crust

Pie Filling:

1 1/2 cups corn syrup
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp melted butter
1 cup pecans halved

Preheat oven to 350Β°
Boil corn syrup and sugar in medium pot until boiling then immediately remove from eye and set aside to slightly cool.

Beat 4 eggs in a medium mixing bowl, then add slightly cooled corn syrup mixture from pot and mix thoroughly. Now add in the melted butter, vanilla extract and pecans and mix again.

Time to pour the mixture into your crust, pop in your oven and bake until crust is golden and a toothpick comes out of the pie clean.
