We’re back again continuing our 3 ingredient series. This time we have been challenged by LEllaBeauty to create a dish using Onion, Chicken and Ginger. We enjoy doing these posts, so be sure to stop by and show her some love for helping us create this amazing dish.
As soon as we saw the three ingredients Michael immediately said let’s do a Orange Chicken. The one challenge that came with this dish was what we would pair with it. Rice would have been the obvious answer but Erica always says, “let do something different.” So we agreed on noodles.
Now that we’ve gotten an idea of the dish that we’re going to create let’s get to it!
INGREDIENTS:
Pack of chicken tenders
4- Packets of Ramen noodles
2-Ramen noodle season packets
4 tbsps Cooking oil of choice
1 cup of flour
1 large egg
1/2 white or yellow Onion
1 Teaspoon of ground ginger
Salt to taste
Black Pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
The Sauce:
1/4 Soy Sauce
2 Cups of Orange Marmalade
1 Cup of BBQ sauce
Directions
Cut chicken into small square pieces.
Season chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
In a frying pan, add cooking oil and place on medium heat.
In a small bowl lightly beat an egg then set aside.
In a medium bowl add flour and set aside.
Dip chicken into egg then flour
Place chicken in medium size skillet with oil and cook. (Golden)
In a medium sauce pan, add in your barbecue sauce, orange marmalade and soy sauce, stirring occasionally while bringing to a simmer.
While that’s going grab a pot of water for your noodles and let the water come to a boil.
While you’re waiting, start chopping up your onion and grating the ginger.
Once you have that done, add your 4 packets of noodles to your boiling water. Cook for 10 mins then drain noodles.
Orange sauce should be simmered now and chicken should be done. Time to add the sauce to chicken mix well.
Place your drained noodles back in your put and add in the Onions, ginger, soy save and Ramen noodle seasoning. Mix throughout!
Plate noodles topped with orange chicken and ENJOY!
I saw the thumbnail for the post and I just HAD to check it out. Orange chicken is one of my favorites so I will have to make this! This looks amazing!
